She is particularly skilled in advising on optimal business structures and has a deep understanding of nonprofit tax compliance—an asset to organizations navigating complex regulatory landscapes.

Vanessa currently serves as the Assistant Controller at Green Dot Public Schools, one of the nation’s leading nonprofit public charter school operators.

Headquartered in Los Angeles, Green Dot is dedicated to transforming public education through equity, access, and high expectations. The organization operates 18 public charter schools across the Greater Los Angeles area and has been recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a national leader in school turnarounds.
